1st Shift - Manufacturing Technician

POSITION SUMMARY The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for working safely, operating a section of a machine and producing quality product. PRIMARY RESPONSIBLITIES · Must adhere to all TSW safety procedures and wear all safety equipment · Learn to set-up the machine correctly and completely (in a timely manner) · Evaluate product straightness, diameter, length and identification of tags that are involved with each machine · Daily preventive maintenance checks on all equipment operated · Meet all quality standards and identify, report any problems · Make sure you prepare your job for the next shift so that there is a smooth transition of work · Must keep your work area neat, clean and safe place to work QUALIFICATIONS · High School Diploma or equivalent education required · 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing or related area · Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds · Mechanical ability/knowledge is preferred · Willing and able to work overtime as needed · Basic math skills · Computer data entry skills · Ability to read measuring tools (i.e.: micrometer, tape measure, etc.) ABOUT TSW Taubensee Steel & Wire Company began providing value-added services and selling steel products as a family-owned and operated business since 1946.
