Summary This position is located at Road Runner Lanes Bowling Center, White Sands Missile Range, NM. The selected candidate will receive a $1000 bonus after successful completion of the first year of employment and an additional $1000 bonus after successful completion of the second year of employment. Learn more about this agency Duties Manages the day-to-day operations of Roadrunner Lanes Bowling Center which includes a 10 lane center, a bar, and food service. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit-generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base. Prepares financial and operational briefings as required. Oversees the operations of a variety of ancillary departments, and recreational activities i.e. snack bar, billiards, catering services, bingo. Monitors the procurement of all supplies, equipment, and retail items for the activity. Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies. Formulates instructions and directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. Subject to satisfactory completion of all per-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. Able and willing to work days, nights, weekends, and special events as needed. The ability to obtain (within first six months of employment) and maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited agency is required (i.e., ServSafe Certification Program). Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: 1. Minimum of three years experience in bowling center management. 2. A two-year associates' degree in business related field may substitute for one year of experience. 3. A four-year bachelor's degree in business related field may substitute for two years. The above minimum qualifications must be described within the duties of previous work experience listed on the applicant's resume and/or supporting documents. A copy of all documents must be submitted at the time of application. Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria. Minimum of 1 year experience in managing or directing the activities of the type of business (i.e.; bowling alley, family entertainment center) to be managed. Minimum of 2 years' experience in food and beverage operations and ServSafe certified. Applicants that meet the Best Qualified criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Best Qualified list. Education Degree and/or transcripts must be uploaded with your application package. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
