Memorial Medical Center in
Las Cruces, New Mexico, is seeking a Heart Failure Cardiologist to lead the development of a
specialized care program for patients with congestive heart failure.
This is a focused,
high-impact role with no transplant responsibilities, offering a unique chance to shape the future
of advanced cardiac care in Southern New Mexico.
You’ll serve as the region’s only Heart Failure
Cardiologist, collaborating with a supportive team to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care to
a growing patient population.
Position Highlights
Specialized Focus: Manage HFrEF, HFpEF,
cardiomyopathies, and pulmonary hypertension with dedicated heart failure care—no transplant
responsibilities.
Leadership Role: Develop and grow a vital service line in an underserved
community, backed by strong hospital and administrative support.
Collaborative Environment: Work
alongside general and interventional cardiologists, case managers, nurses, pharmacists, and
dietitians in a team-based model.
Work-Life Balance: Outpatient-focused schedule—Monday–Thursday,
8 am–5 pm; Friday, 8 am–4 pm—with light 1:7 general cardiology call rotation.
Modern Tools: Access
to advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technologies to support personalized, high-quality
care.
Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO; completion of a cardiology fellowship
Additional
fellowship training or board certification in Advanced Heart Failure preferred
Strong clinical
judgment and a commitment to patient-centered care
Eligibility for licensure in the state of New
Mexico
Preferred:
Experience in cardiac imaging (MRI, echo)
Interest in clinical research or
trials
Familiarity with latest heart failure therapies and treatment guidelines
