Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM) invite a board-certified or board-eligible, fellowship-trained Pediatric Urologist to play a foundational role in building and advancing pediatric urology in Southwest Virginia. This is a rare opportunity to join a young, rapidly expanding academic program with the autonomy and support to shape clinical services, education, and research from the ground up. A System Designed to Support You You will practice within a highly collaborative pediatric environment supported by: A dedicated pediatric urology team including a PA, nurse, medical assistant, and administrative coordinator Carilion Children’s Tanglewood Center (17 pediatric specialties, child life services, on-site lab) Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH): 24 pediatric inpatient beds 8-bed PICU 60-bed NICU Access to: Complete video urodynamics program da Vinci Xi and SP robotic platforms Multiple OR sites and ambulatory surgery centers Expansion into additional satellite clinics and OR locations, increasing regional reach and referral growth Notably, pediatric urology services were established in 2023 — you will help define the standard of care for an entire region.
