Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer Learn more about this agency Duties You will serve as an IT Specialist in the Strategy and Plans Division (J65), Plans and Strategy Branch (J654). You will provide oversight across higher level initiatives, capabilities, experiments, exercises, assessments pilots, and projects as directed. You will be responsible for planning, directing, integrating, and executing all aspects of the assigned project(s) within cost, schedule, performance, and/or system supportability requirements. You will support the development of realistic and progressive capabilities for coalition partners in support of theater plans and exercises. This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code (Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner) proficiency level (Basic) The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies. Qualifications Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. In addition: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Examples of specialized experience may include some of the following: 1) Managing and directing information technology and satellite communications systems and services to meet or exceed customer requirements; 2) Overseeing technology architectures and managing IT and satellite communication projects, contracts, and service providers; 3) Developing and incorporating IT and satellite communications services for joint and multinational operational and contingency plans; 4) Working with computer networking concepts, protocols, and network security methodologies and the ability to design and integrate hardware and software solutions across terrestrial and satellite domains. Education There is no substitution of education for this position. Additional information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Relocation expenses (i.e. PCS) may be authorized in accordance with applicable travel regulations. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary.
