Summary

- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You must be able to become CPR certified w/in 6 months
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid California driverβs license.
- This position may require ability to obtain licenses for the operation of Forklift, High Lift (JLG) and/or Construction equipment, upon notification.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) performs repairs and maintenance on positive logic circuits with a variety of input forms; 2) makes operational checks on a variety of complex equipment and complete systems; 3) independently performs functional test on each subsystems as a scheduled maintenance program; 4) determines causes of malfunctions and makes necessary repairs, perform all overhauling calibrating installing modifying and aligning of the sensor subsystems.

The incumbent must have the ability to climb twenty to fifty feet guard towers, is required to lift items weighing from ten to forty pounds and occasionally items weighing in excess of forty pounds must enter tight crawl spaces and manholes. Occasionally may lift items weighing over forty pounds with assistance or use of material handling equipment.
Several vacancies may be filled.
A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
