The primary purpose of this position, Intelligence Specialist, GG-0132-14, is to serve as a Subject Matter Expert and Senior Intelligence Analyst (SIA)
providing intelligence oversight, guidance, and planning support to the acquisition life-cycle (Acquisition Intelligence).

Duties
-Serve as a senior Intelligence advisor and primary consultant on Acquisition Intelligence.
-Provide Intelligence guidance, oversight, and advanced analytic support to DoD/USAF Acquisition programs, systems, and processes.
-Develop and present ISR capabilities as related to intelligence acquisition and program/system development to a variety of senior level customers.
-Serve as a senior technical intelligence acquisition authority on ISR matters for elements of the DAF PEO C3BM portfolio.

All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
Selectee is expected to be granted with and/or maintain the Special Sensitive security clearance required for the position.

An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is desireable.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the quality experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Mastery of a comprehensive range of intelligence research, collection methods, analytical applications, principles, concepts, and methodologies that includes the evaluation of many diverse sources of information, intelligence disciplines, and information systems used to develop and support acquisition processes.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence policy and guidance, and the structure, organization, roles and missions, and inter-relationships.
2. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapons system's lifecycle; Acquisition Intelligence analysis mission and strategy; and the roles and responsibilities of field intelligence offices in support of research laboratories, acquisition program offices, and life-cycle management, nuclear, sustainment, and system testing enterprises.
3. Knowledge of a comprehensive range of intelligence research methods, techniques, and practices and advanced analytical principles, concepts, and methods used to identify and analyze complex multi-source intelligence information to produce detailed intelligence capabilities and threat assessments, identify intelligence deficiencies, and advocate for customer requirements.
4. Skill in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing intelligence requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients.
5. Skill in communicating clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, subordinates, contractors, academia, and other agencies to work out solutions to problems, prepare professional level documents and studies, and deliver executive level information and decision briefs.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Additional Information:
This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Dug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

Position serves as the Chief of Intelligence for the DAF PEO C3BM's Digital Integrated Fires Command and Control (DIFC2) Branch within Advanced Battle Management Systems (ABMS) Division, Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) will take a strong knowledge of air operations, kill-chain closure, and adversary threat to enhance design of the Department of the Air Force Battle Network as part of the Joint All Domain Command and Control network. This position requires the ability to perform research and analysis and communicate engineering-level threat requirements to the intelligence community.
