Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current DAWIA Level II certification. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing purchasing agent duties, submitting and preparing purchase orders, and experience with monitoring or coordinating purchase card programs. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Additional information Incumbent must complete the "Basics of Contracting 101" course and the "Intermediate Contracting 202" course within the first year of employment. Employee must be able to obtain/maintain purchasing warrant/purchasing authority which is issued by the Regional Contracting Office, Parris Island with approval from Headquarters Marine Corps. This position requires 5% travel. This position is telework eligible. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
