Summary
You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist providing advice on a wide range of complex analysis, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) for one or more foreign countries. You will utilize communication skills to develop and employ multimedia presentations to convey complex operational, technical, and/or political-military concepts. This position is located at NIMITZ OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER in Suitland, Maryland.

Duties
You will apply knowledge of advanced research methodologies and analytical techniques and/or collection management systems to complex work assignments.
You will evaluate and integrate all-source intelligence information to produce tailored intelligence products in response to customer requirements.
You will prepare and produce initiative reports and briefs for executive level audiences that demonstrate comprehensive analytical expertise.
You will identify and/or provide for the resolution of intelligence gaps as well as prepare and satisfy collection requirements to resolve gaps.
You will draw on board expertise to effectively interact and coordinate with senior Intelligence Community members and foreign counterparts.

You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
Position may be subject to assignment to provide foreign language support in performance of officially assigned intelligence-related duties in accordance with NAVINTEL HRO Instruction 12550.2, FLPP for Naval Intelligence Civilian Employees.
Travel may be required in performance of language duties.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following such as:
Provide technical advice on a wide range of complex analysis, evaluation, collection, interpretation, or dissemination of information and/or products relative to an assigned area(s) on political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, technical, or military conditions for one or more foreign countries;
Plan, implement, and maintain databases for intelligence assignments required to process all-source material and the production of technical or operational intelligence in assigned area(s);
Identify intelligence gaps, specify collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps;
Maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, laboratories, services, and allied foreign governments to discuss production requirements and provide information.

PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
Position may be subject to assignment to provide foreign language support in performance of officially assigned intelligence-related duties in accordance with NAVINTEL HRO Instruction 12550.2, FLPP for Naval Intelligence Civilian Employees.
Level two or higher proficiency must be certified every 12 months in the approved language(s) for at least two of the following skills: listening, reading, speaking, or writing.
