3D Car Modeler

About the Role:

Please note: We are offering this role as a full-time, one year contract position.

Voldex is looking for an experienced 3D modeler to help us create awe-inspiring vehicles for the #1 Driving Simulator on Roblox, Driving Empire. This is a great opportunity to work on one of the top titles on the Roblox platform with a passionate team.

What You'll Do:

• Realistic car modeling from concept art (both exterior & interior)

• Fixing issues in modeling in received cars

• Importing models into the Engine when needed - Roblox Importation

• Participate in multi-discipline team meetings/rituals

• Provide feedback/direction to junior, part-time or outsourced team members on their vehicle models

• Review and provide feedback on draw-overs

• Implementation of car models into Roblox studio

• Vehicle quality assurance: checking car meshes for errors & resolving

What You Bring to the Team:

• Proven experience building mobile-ready 3D models for video games

  • Attention to detail on car models, “making it look right”

  • Enough UV mapping experience to make dash screens

• Solid understanding of car functionality & design

• A portfolio of realistic vehicle models

Bonus Points for:

• Roblox Studio Experience

  • Usage of interface: importing meshes, explorer & properties menus

  • Understanding of objects in studio: attachments, surface objects, etc
