Description Specialization:Hospice and Palliative MedicineJob Summary:CarePartners seeks a PRN physician MD/DO board certified in any discipline for shared coverage of Hospice and PACE Program. CarePartners in Asheville, NC is seeking a physician MD or DO to join our 27-bed hospice inpatient unit (Solace Center) and our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the elderly (PACE) interdisciplinary team of NPs, RNs, clinical managers, LSCWs, chaplains, therapy disciplines (PT, OT, & speech) and administrative staff.  Hospice provides end of life care and support and collaboration with patients and their    designated care-takers.  Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly “PACE” coverage provides care management to the frail elderly population in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team in an outpatient clinic setting.  Hospice or PACE experience is not required. Our medical directors are available for training   physicians board certified in any discipline. Qualified Candidates: Must be living in western North CarolinaBoard certified or board eligible in any specialtyMD or DO Practicing physicians of any discipline, but preferred experience in any of the following: hospice, palliative, SNF, geriatrics, oncology, primary care, or internal medicineNew grads with HPM fellowship encouraged to applyIncoming candidate will see patients at 27-bed hospice inpatient unitWill also support the PACE South Asheville PCP clinic for elderlyMost shifts include NP and other support staffMust be available for at least 6 shifts per monthMost shifts are Mon-Fri, some weekend shifts needsAll shifts are 8am-5pm / no night callPlease note that this position does not offer visa support Incentive/Benefits Package: This is an employed position with HCA HealthcareCompetitive compensation driven by MGMA data and industry benchmarking About Mission Hospital:Mission Hospital is licensed for 815 beds and is the region’s only Level II Trauma Center (soon to be Level I), Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level III Epilepsy Center, Level III NICU, and includes the only children’s hospital in western North Carolina.
