Duties
In a patron usage facility circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory. receives and resolves customer complaints. Provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and machinery.
Assists patrons in use of the facility by checking out equipment, providing safety instructions, demonstrating new equipment, teaching classes, etc.
Leads the work of other employees, passes on to other workers instructions received from the supervisor and starts work. Distributes and balances work-load assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy.
Answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives. Provides leadership, guidance and oversight in program operations. Provides on-on-the job training to new employees.
Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

A one-year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, Chapter 2. to include a medical examination and Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
Incumbent must be willing and able to work varying shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience, which involved dealing with the general public.

A highly preferred candidate must possess the following:
One (1) year experience working in a fitness center
Six (6) months equipment repair experience
**To meet Highly Preferred eligibility, you must meet all Minimum and Highly Preferred Qualifications,
and this information must be clearly detailed on your resume.**

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
Allowances and Differentials
This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
