Summary ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see the Additional Information section below.*** This position is located at Camp Zama Bowling Center. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Learn more about this agency Duties Assists management with the operation of facility in accordance with established procedures. May assist in opening and closing of the facility. May monitor inventories, place and receive food and beverage orders using Food track or similar software. Assist with publicity of programs and events. Completes fire safety checks and secures the facility. Requirements Conditions of employment Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required. Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. A one-year probationary period may be required. Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation. May be required to lift and carry up to 20 pounds. Physical and immunization may be required. Subject to additional background checks for having regular and recurring contact with children. Eligible applicants are U.S. citizens or non-U.S. citizens eligible for employment under the Japan/U.S. Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). U.S. citizens resigning in Japan under ordinary resident status are not eligible for employment under the Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA). Qualifications Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Progressively responsible duties in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody or other processing of cash items. Where duties involve selling alcoholic beverages applicant must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverage at the time of appointment. Skill in providing customer service. Ability to communicate effectively. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": At least 6 months of work experience in a blowing environment (such as working at a bowling facility or participating in organized blowing activities like leagues or tournaments. At least 6 months of customer service experience working directly with the public, handling transactions, and assisting customers. Be able and willing to work a schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and evening shifts, specifically from 2:00PM to 11:00PM. Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume. Government positions must include pay plan, series, grade, to and from dates, and government agency/department. Applicants who meet both the minimum qualifications and highly qualifying criteria will be referred to the selecting official for consideration first. Management may subsequently request to review a referral list of all minimally qualified applicants. Education This job does not have an education qualification requirement. Allowances and Differentials This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Foreign overseas allowances, post allowance and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility. Living Quarter Allowance (LQA) is not authorized. Healthcare Access and Availability: If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI 1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. If an employee brings an infant or toddler (up to 3 years of age) to an overseas location, and that infant or toddler, but for the child's age, is entitled to attend the DoDEA on a space-required basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation 1342.13, then the Military Department responsible for Early Intervention Services (EIS) will provide the infant or toddler with the required EIS in accordance with the eligibility criteria consistent with DoDI1342.12 and DoDM 1342.12. Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
