Duties
The individual selected for this position will:
Operate, maintain, and setup automated machinery.
Provide training and guidance to employees in the setup, operation, and maintenance of imaging and automated equipment.
Oversee workload scheduling, end-to-end production, and quality assurance of equipment operation.
Identify and resolve problems related to machine operation, and review safety requirements and recommend changes to enhance safety.
Maintain controls, records, logs, and equipment specifications.

Qualifications
You must meet the below qualifications to be considered for the position.
Physical Requirements: The work may involve: sedentary or more active work; frequent walking, reaching, bending, and stooping may be required; frequent lifting/pushing of printed materials or other objects weighing up to 40 pounds and occasional lifting/pushing of objects over 50 pounds; extended periods of repetitive motion at a constant speed; and extended periods of standing depending upon Branch/unit assignment and operating the mail processing and document prep equipment. The work may be repetitive, fast paced, and done in an assembly line atmosphere depending on the Branch/unit assignment.

Specialized Experience: You qualify at Grade 07 level if you possess one year of specialized experience that equips you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the Grade 06 level to meet the qualification requirements in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that demonstrates the setup, adjustment, and operation of complex mechanical and computerized production equipment; the operation of equipment found in a typical print/bindery environment; troubleshooting of complex mechanical and computerized production equipment and independently making appropriate adjustments.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations, (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Additional information
Tour of Duty: Hours will be between 7:00 a.m.to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Alternate Work Schedule may be available. Alternate Work Schedule is an 80-hour biweekly basic work requirement that is scheduled in less than 10 days; i.e., eight 9-hour days/nights, one 8-hour day/night, and one day off. This position may include full time and/or part time work and may require a mixed tour agreement.
