Locums to Perm Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant for a Locums to Perm position in Richmond, VA. This full-time role involves both outpatient and inpatient coverage in a hospital-based setting, providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients.  The position requires a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday. Weekend work is included, with "first call" responsibilities and on-call duties for surgery. The call ratio is 1:5, providing a balanced schedule for maintaining work-life balance.  The role includes a mix of outpatient clinic duties and inpatient responsibilities. You will manage 1-2 inpatient cases daily, along with rounding as needed, and handle 3-6 patients in the outpatient clinic. The facility utilizes the EPIC documentation system/EMR for maintaining medical records and patient care documentation. Requirements:  Board Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is mandatory. Active Virginia (VA) medical license is required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are required.  Richmond, the capital of Virginia, is a city rich in history and culture.
