Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. Qualifications For GS-12: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing planning recommendations for construction, demolition, energy, maintenance and facilities development projects; 2) Reviewing engineering/architectural drawings or specifications for construction, demolition, energy, maintenance, facilities development projects to identify inconsistencies; 3) Using planning systems and automated databases to capture spatial or geographic data to support facility planning. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning and carrying out work within the established policies and practices while following instructions and guidelines to resolve encountered problems; 2) Preparing basic project documentation for projects, basic requirements documentation for site approval, and documentation for moderate to complex projects with minimal review/input; 3) Conducting Asset Evaluations on a majority of facility and structure types for review; 4) Participating in land use planning and site evaluations as a team member point of contact.
