Description Specialization:Hematology and Medical OncologyJob Summary:Sarah Cannon Transplant &
Cellular Therapy Program at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital, the largest provider of Transplant
and Cellular Therapy (TCT) in the U.S., are initiating their inaugural program in Florida and
seeking outstanding APPs to join their team in Gainesville.Qualified Candidates:
Collaborate with
seasoned physicians in the pioneering Sarah Cannon Transplant & Cellular Therapy Program in Florida,
marking the tenth such program under HCA Healthcare.Incoming provider must be comfortable with both
inpatient and outpatient settings as they may cover both depending patient census. As the program
grows, provider may have the ability to focus more on one setting vs. the other but will need to
maintain the ability to flex between both dependent on patient volume / needs. In the inpatient
setting, supports the attending physician by participating in patient care and management across
hospital units. Responsibilities encompass conducting patient rounds, contributing to daily care
decisions, entering orders, liaising with consultants, and facilitating scheduling for therapeutic
and diagnostic procedures. In the clinic setting, under the supervision of an attending physician,
this role involves delivering diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare services to patients.
Responsibilities include taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, coordinating
lab tests and diagnostic studies, prescribing medications, and assisting patients with treatment
plans and educational needs.Incoming providers should be comfortable with performing or willing to
learn to perform minor procedures like bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, IT chemo, skin
biopsies, supervise cellular product infusion, supervise apheresis / photopheresis. This service
will cover complex blood cancer, HCT and cellular therapy. The APP will co-manage all patients on
this service.

About Sarah Cannon Transplant & Cellular
Therapy Program at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital:
A dedicated inpatient unit for blood cancer
and TCT care featuring 18 private beds, with plans for expansion alongside program growth. An
outpatient Apheresis and Infusion Center equipped with 12 beds to support cell collections and
infusion requirements. A Blood Cancer & TCT Clinic will also serve as the primary location for
multidisciplinary team offices. A Cellular Therapy Laboratory onsite. An ongoing plan for FACT
accreditation. A robust multidisciplinary team including dedicated TCT Physicians, TCT Clinical
Pharmacists, TCT Advanced Practice Providers (NPs and PAs), Nurses, Social Workers, and additional
support staff.
