Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Moody AFB Field Club. Guaranteed 0 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week.

Duties
Operates a full service bar. Mixed and serves all types or alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to order, following a variety of published recipes. Beverages include but are not limited to: Margaritas, for which no pre-mix is available, Zombies, etc. Delivers drinks to bar waiters, or serves directly to patrons. Receives payments or charges to member's account as appropriate. Washes glasses and other bar equipment. Prepares garnishes for mixed drinks. May help stock service bar or portable bar for catered functions. Responsible for the proper operation of the bar, receipts, and inventory accountability. Accepts money, operates a cash register, and makes appropriate change. May be required to prepare documentation for cash funds accountability.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills and knowledge: Knowledge or a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks. Ability to follow cash handling procedures. Ability to recognize intoxicated and unruly patrons and to resolve problem or seek assistance if needed.
Physical Effort: Requires walking or standing for prolonged periods of time. Requires frequent light to moderate lifting and carrying objects weighing 5-15 pounds, pushing and pulling objects weighing 10-20 pounds, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds. Heavier objects, such as beer kegs, are usually transported with the aid of a dolly.
Working conditions: Works inside with adequate lighting, heat and ventilation. Subject to cuts, bruises, and chapped hands.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale, which includes knowledge of a wide variety of beverages and ability to combine ingredients such as liquors, soda water, sugar, bitters, and fruit and the ability to mix exotic drinks. Must be able to recognize intoxicated or unruly patrons and to resolve the problem or seek assistance if needed. Must be able to follow cash handling procedures. Must be physically able to frequestly lift objects weighing 5-15 pounds, pull and push objects weighing 10-20 pounds, and occasionally lift up to and over 40 punds. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical. Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages. Must be able to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Must be able to communicate clearly and possesss skills in dealing with public. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a national agency check with incuires (NACI)/

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
Direct deposit is required.

A probationary period may be required.
Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
