Summary
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the 14th FSS/FSVS Fitness Center.
This position is a Flexible position and is guranteed 0 hours, bt may work up too 40.

Duties
Officiates Intramural Team sports which may include flag football, basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball. Works under the supervision of the Fitness Center and Sports Directors. Sports officiating is a seasonal employment opportunity. The Intermural Sports official shall, to the best of his/her ability, officiate and/or keep accurate records and scores of these contests, sponsored by the Fitness and Sports Center, IAW the rules of the spot and regulations of the Fitness Center. The official is changed with the reasonability of maintaining orderly conduct on the court/filed to which he/she is assigned. Submit to periodic evaluations, written or practical. Checks in with supervisor and obtains necessary equipment and scoresheets when reporting for duty, returns equipment at the conclusion of each session. Fulfills schedule obligations. Arrive at the court/field 15 minutes prior to schedules game time. Ensure that game equipment functions properly and that games are played under safe conditions; report the need for facility or equipment repairs to the sports director or employee on duty. Wear the appropriate officiating attire to all games scheduled.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible experience and practical knowledge of sports rules and officiating protocol of sports. Must be certified/trained through a recognized and approved National Governing Body for the particular sport officiating. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty. Must have good decision making and interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agence Check
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement..
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.

A probationary period may be required.
Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
