Ref #: C-LPN-9072953 Location: Albuquerque, NM — Contract (Non-Travel) Start: ASAP | Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Mon, Wed, Thu • 7:00 PM–7:30 AM Compensation: Local: $1,120 / 36 hours Requirements: Current, active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) state license BLS certification Position overview: Provide direct nursing care under RN or physician direction in a fast-paced clinical setting. Deliver safe, patient-centered care through assessment, treatment, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Key responsibilities: Perform patient assessments (physical exams, medical history, medication review) and assist in developing individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments accurately, following protocols and verifying proper dosing. Monitor, document, and report vital signs and changes in patient condition. Provide wound care: evaluate, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for complications or infection. Start, maintain, and monitor IV therapy and manage urinary catheters per facility policy. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing and ensure proper labeling and handling. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures. Support patient comfort, mobility, positioning, and pain management. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic life support when needed. Follow infection control practices, safe medication handling, and proper disposal of medical supplies. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned. Maintain accurate, timely documentation and adhere to regulatory and facility standards. Participate in ongoing education to remain current with nursing best practices. Perform other duties as assigned by management. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient advocacy and teamwork.
