Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as an Architect (Historic) and engages in planning and/ or designing substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of real property facilities. Duties Serve as the installation POC for the Cultural Resources Management Program (CRMP). Analyze renovations and improvements needed to meet new mission and environmental requirements. Ensure the legal, regulatory, professional and scientific adequacy of projects meet the CRMP goals and planning needs as defined. Plan and/or monitor large scale facilities projects to ensure compliance with applicable objectives, standards and requirements. Monitor and/or manage substantial new construction, renovation and improvement projects utilizing a professional knowledge of architecture. Evaluate and recommend development plans for construction, renovation and improvements of real property facilities. Serve as technical representative for negotiation and administration of contracts. Basic Education Requirement for Engineers: OPM's Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) is defined as: All Professional Engineering Positions 0800 In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience required: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in architectural designing; facilities planning and construction concepts; assuring compliance with objective standards and requirements; and, establishing architectural project requirements and priorities in developing strategies to create short or long-term goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service or equivalent (GS-11). Education Education substitution: You must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone -no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
