JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry-leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions.

The position of Accessioning Technician I is within our Toxicology Division located in Santa Rosa, CA. This role is key to our business operations as the first point of entry for our specimen processing.

Shift

Mon- Friday 9:00 am-5:30 pm

( Once a month- Saturday)

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

• Receive and prepare urine specimens for processing
• Enter data from requisition forms and specimen bottles into the lab database
• Remove urine samples from packaging and load them into trays for processing
• Accurately document and record information

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required

• A high school diploma
• Ability to type 40WPM
• Ability to carry up to 15lbs for a distance of up to 40 yards

Preffered:

• Experience using a computer and barcode scanner
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
