The Microsoft Global Demand Center Account Based Marketing team is at the forefront of driving transformation in our commercial cloud business by driving a connected sales and marketing experience. Our team is passionate about driving business growth, marketing innovation, and new global ABM capabilities directly connected to our sales teams.
Our rapidly expanding team is looking for a new talent to drive industry innovation for ABM at-scale, designing a more deeply connected sales and marketing motion. This role will own the end-to-end business strategy for Account Based Marketing programs for one of our major cloud solutions. As the ABM Business Leader, you will drive a holistic plan across Sales, Product Marketing, and Integrated Marketing, to align on key business priorities and outcomes. Your remit will span across sales strategy alignment, account targeting, customer journeys, digital demand generation, AI/ML models, field marketing landing, and performance and measurement, with direct line of sight to business outcomes.
This role requires strong data-driven marketing expertise, with a passion to serve and accelerate sales. Candidates should have a history of driving change and innovation, with the ability to not only identify areas of improvement but have a proven track record of creating executional plans that can scale globally to drive business impact. To be successful in this role, individuals should be well versed in and comfortable with marketing technology and marketing operations. Depth of experience in project management and driving results across cross-functional teams is key.Responsibilities
  • Own end to end ABM Business Strategy: Bring teams together and create high levels of collaboration and partnership with across various stakeholders; including Product Marketing, Sales, and Integrated Marketing teams to align on the end-to-end components of the ABM programs and ensure execution across multiple channels aligns to ABM strategy.
  • Lead Regular Performance Reviews: multiple teams to shape learnings, insights, and quarterly plans.
  • Drive Quality ABM Recommendations: that lead to actionable insights for our sellers with conversion through the sales cycle. Partner with data science team to develop AI/ML models that predict business outcomes for your programs.
  • Work across multiple marketing disciples to drive change and innovation to deliver ABM best-practices within the Global Demand Center, influencing key stakeholders on customer journeys, acquisition tactics and channels, building effective nurture programs, and deepening seller connections.
  • Build operational rigor with clear communication, documentation, and landing motions that are consistent across all ABM programs.
  • Support global landing and adoption strategies across our 14 global areas to ensure field marketers are informed and actioning on global ABM guidance.
  • Design and lead pilots to test and improve engagement-driving marketing practices in the GDC for ABM programs, including use of web, owned & operated, field, n product, and relationship marketing based approaches. Measure impact and drive path from pilot to broader, global implementation.
  • Drive new ABM capabilities that enable sellers to act as marketers, nurturing and reaching out to their customers in a curated, simplified way.
QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years commercial/B2B marketing and/or sales, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related work experience
    o OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 5+ years commercial/B2B marketing and/or sales, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    o OR Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 2+ years commercial/B2B marketing and/or sales, marketing strategy, business planning, marketing operations, or related experience
    o OR equivalent experience. 
  • Experience either in or working with sales organizations
  • Experience in leading cross-team projects, with the ability to influence and lead others
  • A proven track record of driving change, leading innovation, and improving existing programs and processes, including growth mind set oriented, focused on learning.
  • Proven track record of data-driven marketing execution.
  • Strong project management skills with experience of taking pilots from the ideation stage to execution and results reporting.
  • High attention to detail and able to work within stringent deadlines
  • Self-starter with a drive to succeed and comfortable with high levels of ambiguity in a quickly changing business environment .
  • Proven track record to exceed expectations, have high impact, and deliver results.
Narrative
Integrated Marketing IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,900 - $162,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,300 - $176,900 per year.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets (see below). The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role (except as noted below); the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate's primary work location. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
