As our Account Director- Healthcare you will…

Be Accountable and Responsible

To oversee and lead all account management processes. You will monitor, direct, and motivate day-to-day interactions between the account team and clients, actively nurturing strong relationships with existing and possible clients. This role combines strategic and hands-on experience by delivering engaging, passionate outstanding ideas and work.  You will work closely with the account team to drive tactical projects through the agency and meet delivery requirements/deadlines. You will also act as a senior solution-oriented manager that thrives on developing lasting relationships between the client and agency teams. This position involves consistent client contact and operates at a high level in all aspects of account management.

The Account Director has a passion for all facets of digital marketing and marketing technology. They possess exceptional communication and leadership skills and a proven track record of developing and maintaining positive client relationships. They manage accounts and client objectives for multiple healthcare clients in the digital marketing and Martech spaces. The Account Director is the strategic leader of their accounts and can manage multiple accounts of various sizes and requirements with aplomb. They are a leader of the department and within the agency, providing pertinent insights to help team, client, and agency growth. They understand the importance of executing the work while elevating their perspective to broader oversight. This person has a strong analytical mind with an understanding of how technology, creativity, strategy, and analytics all work together and how this overarching approach client’s business drives it. They are proficient in all aspects of account management and are innovative, pushing their teams to find creative, thoughtful solutions for their clients:

  • Senior client contact for multiple website development and digital marketing clients
  • Leads digital marketing and technology platform client assignments as necessary; examples include website development, UX design, SEO/SEM, marketing automation projects, and related digital marketing activities
  • Maintains relationships with senior members of the client team; is a strategic advisor to key client contacts
  • Provides departmental leadership regarding team and client growth; represents the department to the region and MERGE at large
  • Monitors and manages direct and team reports regarding individual goals and capacity
  • Manages all aspects of account management and client services as required
  • Leads their account portfolio based on the client’s strategic imperatives; anticipates client needs and redirects teams to address them
  • Will focus primarily on clients in the healthcare space, although opportunities in other verticals will arise
  • Leads planning process for clients and oversees the execution of plans
  • Seeks out upsell opportunities within existing client work
  • Leads business development as required
  • Responsible for managing to margin and financial requirements of accounts, including overall scope and hours by account and project
  • Possesses a strong knowledge of the category, the client, customer segments, and relevant competitors; proactively participate in learning about the client industries on an ongoing basis
  • Attends industry events, meetings, conferences, and training as appropriate
  • Other responsibilities as designated

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • 8+ years of account management/consulting experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus or equivalent work experience
  • Health provider vertical experience a plus
  • Background in direct response (print + digital) and performance marketing 
  • Ability to evaluate competitive communications across categories, consumers, services, cultural trends, etc.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves to be a constant leader to a team in a highly collaborative environment and to develop and execute Account Management Strategies
  • Advanced client management skills, especially as it relates to expanding business within existing clients
  • Superior professional communication and presentation skills
  • Commitment to the client, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving ability
