Accountabilities:

  • Oversee daily management of assigned client accounts, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality medical communication programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, key stakeholders, and external partners such as medical associations and institutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by proactively managing expectations, resolving issues, and maintaining continuous communication.
  • Develop deep understanding of client organizations, therapeutic areas, products, and strategic marketing objectives.
  • Manage project financials including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and reconciliation across assigned accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts through proposals, presentations, and strategic client discussions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop account teams, including performance evaluations, career development planning, and workload distribution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to allocate resources effectively and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate cross-functional coordination and conflict resolution across teams and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on account performance, financial status, and growth opportunities.
  • Participate in or lead internal and client-facing meetings to support account strategy and execution.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in science, healthcare, or business preferred.
    • 7+ years of experience in medical communications, healthcare marketing, pharmaceutical, biotech, or related scientific environments.
    • Proven experience in account management and leadership responsibilities within agency or healthcare-related organizations.
    • Strong ability to understand and translate complex scientific and clinical concepts into strategic communication solutions.
    • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and overseeing client deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated success in business development, including proposal writing and new opportunity identification.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and project profitability.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong organizational and leadership capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
