As our Account Executive you will…
Be Accountable and Responsible
As our Account Executive you will be involved in all aspects of account management, including regular client contact and high-quality delivery on multiple projects within a fast-paced environment. You will use your problem-solving and collaboration skills to promote flawless day-to-day execution of projects. You will be cool, calm, and collected under pressure and is able to see problems around corners, acting proactively to get things done. You should be comfortable recommending solutions to red flags that arise while also keeping their manager up to date on projects as they relate to the client.Â
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assists in all facets of account services and client management as directed
- Actively participates in internal and client status meetings
- Effectively communicates client feedback to cross functional agency team and keeps team apprised of changes or updates to account in a timely manner
- Assists in managing projects through client review process
- Develops understanding of the brand’s strategic imperatives
- Assists in tactical planningÂ
- Develops and submits internal documentation per agency SOP
- Possesses working knowledge of all agency processes and works well with the internal team to ensure projects are progressing on time; assesses and monitors team and job productivity/efficiency
- Monitors financial status of accountsÂ
- Monitors hours and OOPs by project and overall PO
- Responsible for approving billing and invoices, partnering with finance to manage hours
- Prepares materials for reporting to the client with oversight
- Gains understanding of the category, the brand, customer segments and relevant competitors; proactively seeks out team members to gain working knowledge of the brand and category ongoing basis
- Keeps up to date on industry and category trends through websites, trade journals, market researchÂ
- Remains alert to client needs and elevates opportunities to convert organic growth opportunities
- Maintains working knowledge of MERGE solutions and resources and recognizes/acts upon opportunities.
- Other responsibilities as designated
These are the qualifications we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.Â
- 2+ years of account management experience within an advertising agency
- Financial Services experience is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
- Strong client/project management skills, especially as it relates to setting and managing client expectations
Compensation: $67,000 - $80,000
Salary differential is based on seniority, merit, education, training and experience. MERGE’s career ladders reflect department growth from Associate through Partner levels, with details of roles and responsibilities associated with each level. New hires are assigned a job level within a particular position based on these criteria and salary is set within the job level based on these criteria. Growth from one level to the next occurs when employees master their role, and are promoted into the next level, generally during salary review cycles which are posted in the employee handbook.
