This role focuses on driving sales growth by identifying, developing, and managing relationships with state and local government clients. The Account Executive will generate pipeline, negotiate contracts, and expand existing accounts while collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions. The position demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to navigate government procurement processes and a deep understanding of civil market needs. Success in this role requires both self-directed prospecting and strong teamwork with sales engineers, customer success, and product teams. The role is fully remote within the U.S., offering an opportunity to impact key government initiatives and contribute to innovative solutions that address real-world challenges.

Accountabilities:

  • Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities with state and local government accounts while maintaining and expanding existing relationships.
  • Generate sales pipeline and revenue through outbound prospecting, networking, and collaboration with the SDR team.
  • Navigate government contracting processes and manage multi-stakeholder engagements to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Partner with internal teams—including Sales Engineers, Professional Services, and Customer Success—to develop proposals, presentations, and pricing strategies.
  • Inform and contribute to the civil market go-to-market strategy, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, sales forecasts, and account plans to maximize engagement, revenue, and client satisfaction.
  • Requirements:
  • 6+ years of sales experience in the civil government sector, with 5+ years in geospatial, Earth observation, or related industries.
  • Proven success in prospecting, selling, and closing large government contracts and navigating complex procurement processes.
  • Strong understanding of commercial imagery or related solutions within the civil market.
  • Established network within government agencies and partner ecosystem.
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans, forecast accurately, and manage a robust pipeline.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple internal stakeholders to drive business and product adoption.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, outreach tools, and sales forecasting solutions.
  • Federal experience, GIS or remote sensing background, and consultative selling expertise (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale) are a plus.
