Role: Account ManagerÂ
Description: The Account Manager is responsible for creating and executing install base territory strategies which enable predictable expansion, cross-selling and revenue protection. Â
Base Salary:Â $90,000 - $110,000
What you’ll do
- Your role is to be the primary contact point for Blackthorn.io customers
- Driving customer success is critical to growing your book of business
- You will be tasked with understanding the communications needs of our Mid Market and Enterprise customers and designing solutions to meet their unique business needs
- Fielding inquiries, escalations, and all things Commercial are all part of this role
- Your ability to prioritize and multi-task will be the differentiator
- You’ll become the resident expert on Blackthorn products and services and will sell new mid-market and enterprise business customers our cloud communications solution
- Maintain current, Mid-Market and Enterprise customer base allowing for high customer satisfaction and retention
- Identify upsell & cross-sell opportunities within the current customer base to expand the Blackthorn market share within each account
- Negotiate renewals and service agreements with existing customers
- Partner closely with internal Blackthorn teams in order to provide high level of service to each account
- You will develop a strong understanding of key differentiators, internal/external systems, sales methodologies and processes
What we look for
- 2+ years maintaining mid-market customer accounts
- Resiliency and the ability to multitask are critical for this role
- Ability to internally navigate across all business units within the organization and install base
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
- Skilled with creating and delivering presentations, online web demos and remote sales processes
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey and relate ideas to others
- Proficiency using SalesForce.com

We have two native apps on the Salesforce AppExchange for managing Events and Payments. We’re a growing, distributed team in four countries. We move fast and have significant structure in our product build process. Everyone on our team has deep experience within their respective roles. Our customers span from 1 person companies to Fortune 500s.
Why is our work important
Our apps continue to be easy to use and setup, due to continuous refinements with our UX. Most apps in our space take weeks to implement, ours take hours, and they work more flexibly, achieving significantly more functionality than our competitors. We believe enterprise apps should be as easy to use as consumer mobile apps.
