We're looking for an Account Manager to help Vasion grow our enterprise and commercial SLED (state, local, and education) business customers. Our ideal candidate will have experience in EDTech and will be able to relate to our customers at the state and local government level as well as in the higher Ed and K-12 space.

The Account Manager is responsible for revenue growth within existing customer accounts. It is expected that you'll partner with a Customer Success Manager to meet with and understand your customers needs and vision. You will be directly responsible in guiding them to take full advantage of our product offerings. You will work closely with your manager, the Product Management, Product Support, and Marketing teams to communicate your customer's needs and vision internally and to collaboratively ensure your customers are receiving a world-class experience.

Your goal is to become a trusted advisor for your customers throughout their digital transformation journey. This role requires the ability to teach, tailor, and take control of the guiding conversations you'll have with your customers. Think of this role as a role for a Professional Solutions Consultant for our current customers.

The ideal candidate has a high level of attention to detail, they demonstrate good investigative skills and above all possess strong empathetic skills. A background in SaaS sales is preferred though not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Regularly meet with current Vasion customers to understand their needs and help expand their use of our products and services
  • Create a strategic plan for ongoing relationship management of accounts assigned to you.
  • Master how to articulate and share Vasion products and services
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Management, Product Management, Product Support, and Marketing teams to ensure a world-class customer experience
  • Execute an Account Manager territory plan that includes the following:
    • Territory Analysis:
      • Understanding your sales pipeline and report regularly where it is at, how you are growing it, and what you need to successfully achieve your quota
      • Understanding of customer's budget cycle, and procurement process
      • Compiling customer success stories and use cases to report to cross department teams for future improvement
    • Time Analysis:
      • Executing the highest yielding activities
      • Showing good prioritization balancing
    • Self Analysis:
      • Communicating what you need to know and have to your manager in order to be successful
  • Create quotes and manage the procurement process for customer expansion
  • Annotate in Salesforce your customer engagement results
  • Report weekly to your manager on your territory plan
  • Report quarterly to senior leadership (CRO, VP of CS) on your territory plan and anticipated growth from your assigned accounts.
  • Plan and execute strategic customer on-site visits
  • Achieve annual sales quota

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of professional sales experience in Enterprise Software and/or 2-5 years of Customer Success or Account Management experience
  • Some travel is required for on-site customer visits
  • Solid problem-solving and consultative skills
  • Highly motivated, results/action-oriented, entrepreneurial attitude
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, time and project management skills
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar customer relationship management software
