Accountant

The Microsoft Corporate Fixed Asset team is responsible for the reporting accuracy of billions of dollars in assets for US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). As a member of the Corporate Accounting Fixed Asset team this role is responsible for Microsoft's Supply Chain Fixed Asset accounting and processes, and will support reporting requirements, process improvements, data reconciliation and procedural efficiencies.Responsibilities

• Responsible for close-related activities including monthly general ledger account reconciliations for the Company's manufacturing assets.
• Partner closely with global Supply Chain business partners to prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and research.
• Support SOX, operational controls, and compliance for manufacturing assets.
• Support Supply Chain asset physical count process.
• Act as primary resource to identify fixed asset data quality and reporting enhancements partnering with global partners including Cloud & Infrastructure and Global Workplace Services.
• Primary liaison for OneAsset reporting tool.
• Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives and projects.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 4+ years of accounting or finance experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience.
• Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or
• Experience with ERP, fixed assets, or other system subledger a plus.
• Critical thinking, comfortable dealing with complexity and ambiguity with tenacity to find answers and reach conclusions and operational excellence.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
