Your Role:

Our Finance team is looking for an energetic self-starter to help with the day to day financial operations of Firefly Health. We are looking for a candidate with strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting, strong financial acumen, experience with managing or supporting the monthly financial close process as well as experience processing payroll and managing vendors and suppliers. The Accountant is responsible for the purchase to pay processes and controls, payroll processes and controls, treasury management as well as overall general ledger management.

You will do:

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management
• Expense coding and analysis, expense report approval
• Managing the bi-weekly payroll process
• Maintaining accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date
• Helping to reconcile and close the books monthly and preparing internal financial statements
• Performing ad-hoc financial analysis and miscellaneous operational tasks

You'd be a good fit if you have:

• Exquisite interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or two years of experience at a public accounting firm preferred
• Payroll processing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Able to effectively multitask while building streamlined processes
• A willingness to learn and function independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite, familiar with or able to quickly learn Netsuite, Bill.com, Paycom, and other cloud-based software

Our office is located in Watertown, Massachusetts but we've developed a robust remote working structure to give us more flexibility geographically while hiring for many positions.
