Job Description
Overview:
We are an established, growth-oriented specialty packaging manufacturer with operations in the U.S. and internationally. We are currently seeking a hands-on and experiencedSenior Accountantto manage a wide range of accounting functions and support our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with exposure to both domestic and foreign operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare general ledger entries and reconcile accounts by maintaining accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation of financial reports.
• Ensure payroll tax compliance across federal and multi-state jurisdictions, including return preparation and timely filing.
• Support VAT compliance by coordinating with European accountants and compiling necessary documentation.
• Conduct monthly inventory analysis and reconciliation.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and provide necessary schedules and support.
• Collaborate with the CFO on special projects and financial initiatives.
• Research and interpret financial data to address internal inquiries and support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate records and general ledgers; perform general bookkeeping as needed.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) functions.
• Safeguard confidential financial and organizational information.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-plus years of relevant general accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in a mid-sized manufacturing environment.
• Exposure to foreign operations and international accounting, a plus.
• Familiarity with mid-sized ERP systems (preferably Sage 100.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
