Job Description:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for accurately calculating and tracking internal commissionable deals and payouts timely to employeesalong with preparing and reviewing recurring journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for the assigned general ledger accounts. They will need to maintain electronic files accurately in accordance with Company policies and procedures, GAAP and SOX 404.Assisting with both internal and external auditors to satisfy their information requestswill also be a part of their responsibilities.

The Accounting Manager will need to prepare SEC filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, earnings release, proxy material, and annual reports. They will also be responsible for researching and analyzing new and existing accounting and reporting pronouncements, utilizing authoritative guidance and determining external disclosure requirements. Making sure all deadlines are met in accordance with closing dates set by managementand supporting the accounting team with special projects/ad hoc reports as needed will be a part of the job. They will also be responsible for supporting and backing up the other accounting team members during vacations and absences as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, Master's Degree a plus
  • CPA and/or public accounting experience a plus
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in the accounting field
  • 2+ years of managerial experience
  • Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Pivot Tables & V-Lookups)
  • Corporate accounting / general ledger experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with minimum supervision while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within short deadlines
