The Role

KITSCH is currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. The position will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with US accounting standards, and effective management of accounting processes. The ideal candidate will lead and handle the day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the financial health and compliance of the company while contributing to its growth and profitability. This role requires strong technical accounting skills with leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, experience in accounting and financial processes and a keen eye for details. 



Job responsibilities and Key Result Areas:

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide regular financial performance updates to senior management.

Team Management

  • Lead a team of remote accountants and finance professionals, ensuring their productivity, adherence to deadlines, and quality of work.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.

Financial Compliance and Process Improvement

  • Stay up-to-date and compliant with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in accounting, including inventory management and revenue recognition.

Cash Management

  • Manage cash flow, including monitoring receivables, payables, and working capital.
  • Make recommendations for optimizing cash flow and liquidity management.

Financial Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights into key financial metrics and trends.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.

Risk Management

  • Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment to safeguard company assets.

 

Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • Proven 5+ years experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including revenue recognition, inventory management, and payment processing
  • Proficiency in accounting softwares and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Receptiveness to feedback and able to meet deadlines
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills
  • Self-starter and results-driven
  • Strong financial and business acumen
