Job Description

Barkley's Accounting & Finance team is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their ranks. We are looking for a team player who loves accounting, improving processes, and saving money. If you're all about the numbers and making the puzzle pieces fit, we want to chat.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists in consolidating, preparing, and distributing financial statements.
  • Prepares and inputs general journal entries.
  • Assists with the bi-monthly payroll.
  • Works with external auditors and tax accountants.
  • Assists in the preparation of all audit/review schedules.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliations, fixed asset reports, and inter-company balance analysis and elimination entries.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Prepares monthly allocation/overhead entries. 
  • Supervises Accounts Payable and Staff Accountants.
  • Uses discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
  • Prepares various monthly management reports and analyses.
  • Works on special projects as assigned by the Controller or CFO.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university required.
  • At least six years of accounting work experience required.
  • Public accounting experience (preferably in audit or cost) and a CPA preferred but not required.
