About the Role
We are hiring our first Accounting Manager to join the Finance team! You will be responsible for day to day accounting and AP/AR needs, and play an integral part in the implementation of processes and policies. Primary responsibilities will include managing and ensuring the integrity of the financial statements for our business operations and growth plans. This position requires an analytical approach to problem solving, as well as strong organizational and multitasking skills as you balance multiple departmental priorities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for general accounting associated with the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings
- Prepares month-end accruals, reporting, analysis and various ad hoc requestsÂ
- Work with our payroll third party to ensure payroll and taxes are filed in a timely manner
- Experience with closing the books in foreign jurisdictions and knowledge of FX translation accounting
- Assist in developing and implementing new accounting policies and ensure compliance with regulations and to match scaleÂ
- Identify opportunities for process improvements or enhancements to existing processes to achieve greater efficiency as the business scales
- Lead year-end audit requests from internal and external auditors as part of the financial reporting process
- Key role in process to provide information to external tax preparers for quarterly tax provisions and annual filings
Skillset
- Bachelor's degree in AccountingÂ
- 2 years experience at a big 4 firm preferred
- 1-2 years Accounting experience in a start-up (Series A-B SaaS company preferred)
- CPA Certification preferred
- Experience with Quickbooks online preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leader who can lead cross-functional working groups
- Quick learner, detail oriented; proven thoroughness and strong ownership of work
- Strong Excel skills (including v-lookup and pivot tables)
- Ability to prioritize in a fast paced, constantly changing environment; high sense of urgency and resilience
- Ability to travel up to 10%
