This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Associate in India.
This role plays a key part in supporting accurate and efficient financial operations within a fast-paced, international accounting environment. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts payable processes, ensuring invoices are correctly validated, processed, and recorded in financial systems. The position involves close collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth payment workflows. You will also contribute to maintaining accurate financial data integrity through reconciliation and system updates using modern accounting tools. Working remotely, you will support U.S.-based operations while adhering to strict deadlines and quality standards. Accountabilities:
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately while ensuring compliance with internal policies and payment guidelines.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with internal departments and external vendors to align purchase orders and receipts.
- Prepare and execute timely vendor payments while optimizing opportunities for early payment discounts.
- Track, apply, and reconcile vendor credits related to returns, adjustments, and outstanding balances.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships by responding to queries and ensuring smooth financial communication.
- Perform regular statement reviews and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage data entry and updates in accounting systems such as NetSuite while ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Support internal teams by addressing financial inquiries and contributing to efficient accounting operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent international qualification required; degree in Accounting or Business is a plus.
- 0–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or similar financial/accounting operations.
- Strong proficiency in data entry and familiarity with financial or ERP systems (NetSuite experience preferred).
- High attention to detail with strong ability to detect discrepancies and ensure financial accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English for vendor and internal interactions.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve payment and reconciliation issues efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative attitude with strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
