Accounts Payable Specialist, Philippines

We are looking for a dynamic Accounts Payable Specialist to join our small but mighty Finance Team to support our growing company. Sprout’s Finance Team works in numbers while living and breathing the Sprout brand. We are looking for our next all-knowing AP guru who isn’t just about getting things done but can scale and enhance our existing processes.

Companies like DoorDash, General Mills, Trello, Make-a-wish Foundation, Edelman, and Blue Cross Blue Shield and more than 30,000 other organizations rely on our products to create stronger relationships with their customers through social media. 

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or 2+ Years in an accounts payable role
• Experience processing invoices and managing vendors
• Strong written communication skills and comfort organizing large volumes of documentation
• Experience using internal expense management systems eg. Netsuite, Concur, are a plus 

Within 1 month, you will…

• Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our product and how your role fits into the organization.
• Develop a firm understanding of the team’s goals and core responsibilities
• Gain a solid foundational knowledge of the accounts payable function’s impact on accounting and financial statements

Within 3 months, you will…

• Build connections with members from other teams through active networking and community building
• Understand various payment options and ensure the correct methods are used
• Maintain and organize vendor information
• Handle relevant vendor tax documents 
• Oversee expense reimbursement process and provide final approvals for payment
• Independently identify and apply cash payments book new, renewal, amendment of invoices to ensure an organized and timely cash flow
• Be able to navigate Sprout’s accounting software to enter, approve, track, and pay invoices in a timely manner

Within 6 months, you will…

• Have your first performance conversation with your manager, where you’ll discuss your accomplishments in your role and work together to build goals for your professional growth
• Take ownership of the accounts payable processes from start to finish for Sprout and subsidiaries
• Collaborate with Sprout department leads to ensure invoices are received and complete, identify necessary accruals during cut off periods
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify potential issues 
• Communicate and present data and findings to management 
• Manage credit card process including recording transactions, investigating abnormalities, review for appropriateness 

Within 12 months, you will…

• Become a subject matter expert and go-to person for all things AP
• Be a key contributor in the audit process, lead audit walkthroughs for AP related processes, and act as main point of contact for requests and queries
• Lead in developing solutions to improve and make all AP related processes more streamlined to minimize risks
• Develop analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills
