The Role:
The Advertising Manager will be crucial for partner success on Amazon and leading online marketplaces, and will be responsible for overall advertising health and growth. Will be responsible for developing and executing partner marketplace strategy in advertising, including all amazon ad units, marketing strategy, and budgeting. The Advertising Manager will manage all aspects of partner communication in relation to advertising to ensure alignment on goals and brand performance.
What You'll Do:
  • Work in tandem and project manage with advertising specialists on key takeaways from brand partner requests (campaign creation, bid adjustments, etc)
  • Direct advertising strategy for your brand portfolio based on industry best practices and internal SOPs
  • Create, implement, and execute efficient advertising management processes built to rapidly scale and drive business growth
  • Leverage Amazon's platform and 3rd party technology to craft overall campaign strategies
  • Drive high-level initiatives, aligning with the key stakeholder's broader strategies (eg, building brand awareness, profitability, hybrid, etc)
  • Understand the opportunity and impact of Amazon as part of a brand's overarching advertising goals, and be an advocate and consultant for brand partners to integrate Amazon as part of their overall marketing mix.
  • Clearly communicate feedback and forward-looking strategies through a combination of presentations, documents, email, or face to face meetings
  • Discover, develop, and deploy ongoing sets of strategies for the constantly evolving advertising landscape
  • Coordinate with Account Managers on key metrics that impact Advertising efficiencies (buy box percentage, inventory, storefront traffic, etc)
  • Manage advertising budgets for current and future state, being cognizant of seasonality and tent pole events (Prime Day, Black Friday, Holidays, etc)
  • Provide advertising strategic insights to brand partners based on deep analysis of performance indicators via Amazon or third party reports
  • Stay informed and closely aligned with Amazon Advertising programs and policies to be an expert reference for our partners and "thought leader" in the space

Who You Are:
  • You have working experience with Amazon Ad Console and have managed a brand budget of at least $10,000 per month
  • You have a basic understanding of Amazon Organic Rank, Amazon Sponsored Ad types/placements/goals
  • You are an expert with Microsoft Excel and are comfortable using data to tell a story when it comes to advertising
  • You enjoy helping brands grow their business and building relationships with your clients
  • You are resourceful and enjoy collaborating with a team

What You've Done:
  • 2+ years of progressive experience working in the digital advertising industry, preferably in direct-to-consumer environments, especially in Amazon
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, proven track record using collaboration software (Asana, Basecamp, or Monday.com, etc)
  • Performance-based and branded digital advertising experience with a proven track record of launching, managing, and analyzing marketing programs against brand goals
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets experience working with large datasets for data transformation and analysis leveraging lookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Understanding of basic retail principles, especially digital retail content through e-commerce sites and online marketplaces
  • Positive personality with a strong desire to be part of a fast-paced, fun, and hard-working team solving big problems to create big opportunities
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines in a team environment

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience with Amazon DSP
  • Experience with Enterprise accounts (brands with budgets exceeding $100k/month)
  • Experience with Walmart and/or other marketplaces
  • Experience with e-commerce SEO
  • Experience with marketing (Google, Facebook, etc.)
