THE ROLE: Analyst, FP&A

Job Summary:

As an Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding company wide rebates and managing the accounting and FP&A processes for this area of the business. The Rebate Analyst will be an essential role in the rebate close process each month that includes analyzing rebate programs and booking accruals/cash rebates received. The Analyst will need to have the ability to understand rebate programs and how we earn rebates to appropriately estimate and book accruals. In addition to the monthly-close process, the Analyst will be responsible for reviewing and updating the monthly forecast for changes in the business and/or rebate programs. Reporting on rebates will be an essential part of this role which will include documenting monthly business results, analyzing variances and performing ad-hoc requests. The analyst will also be involved in the annual budget of rebates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close
  • Review and update monthly rebate forecast
  • Document monthly rebate results for Management review
  • Participate in the annual rebate budget
  • Track rebates by program and cash flow projections
  • Organize meetings and presentations as required
  • Furnish internal reports, revise and update reports to be more useful and efficient
  • Interpret and evaluate monthly analyses, including budget variance of financial results to identify areas of risk and opportunities
  • Ensure accurate and thorough reporting to manage P&L and expense metrics
  • Preparation and analysis of finance and accounting information for management to understand operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other financial KPI's as required
  • Ad hoc analysis and additional responsibilities as required

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting, or other related quantitative discipline is required
  • 2-3+ years of related business experience including public accounting, consulting, or finance
