What You'll Do:

As an Analytics Engineer you will be a key member of the Business Intelligence Team. You will support the decision-making process in all areas of the business by crafting Traeger’s data analytics projects. Your critical thinking and problem-solving skills will help the BI Team deliver scalable solutions to an audience that spans multiple continents and all levels of leadership. You will help Traeger continue to disrupt outdoor cooking and deliver a world-class customer experience by generating insights that shape the business every day.

How You Will Help Us Win:

• Gather requirements from members of the business to scope future data and analytics projects.
• Model large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements by following established design and documentation standards
• Maintain the data warehouse and troubleshoot test failures and errors to ensure increased uptime.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, Query optimization, etc.
• Build analytics tools/dashboards that utilize the data warehouse to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics.
• Storytelling and presenting key metrics to technical & non-technical audience
• Work with stakeholders including Executive Leadership, Product, Operations, and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Experience in business intelligence and data analytics.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Domo, Tableau, Power BI, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of database management concepts and techniques, including Data Warehousing, Data Marts, and associated best practices.
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT, data pipeline design, and maintenance, etc. Familiarity with dbt for data modeling is a plus.
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with MSSS, Redshift, and Postgres.
• Advanced knowledge of python and/or other scripting tools.
• Knowledge of software development work processes and best practices like git-based source control
• Familiarity with AWS cloud service like S3, CloudWatch, Athena, Glue, etc. is a plus.
• Knowledge of change management around adopting a large-scale analytics program.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment
