This role is a key leadership position within the finance function, responsible for managing the accounts payable operations and ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and payments. You will oversee a team, optimize workflows, and strengthen internal controls while supporting month-end close and reporting processes. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational efficiency and implement automation initiatives that scale with the business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior finance leadership, providing insights and solutions that directly impact cash flow, vendor relationships, and overall financial operations. This is an excellent role for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

  • Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing.

  • Ensure timely payment of vendors in accordance with terms and monitor aging reports to resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP, supporting external audits and 1099 reporting.

  • Optimize AP workflows, leverage automation tools, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

  • Partner cross-functionally to streamline procurement-to-pay processes and support accurate month-end accruals and reporting.

  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    • 5–8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, with proven ability to manage and develop a team.

    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience ensuring compliance in complex financial operations.

    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or AP automation tools is preferred.

    • Nice-to-have: experience in digital healthcare, multi-state/multi-currency payables, system implementations, or AP automation initiatives.

    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary range: $95,000—$115,000 USD.

      • Health, dental, and vision coverage.

      • 401(k) plan with generous company match.

      • Flexible time off and paid holidays.

      • Life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance.

      • Wellness and mental health benefits.

      • Opportunity to lead a high-impact function and drive operational improvements in a growing organization.
