This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an AP Manager in the United States.
This role is a key leadership position within the finance function, responsible for managing the accounts payable operations and ensuring efficient, accurate, and compliant processing of invoices and payments. You will oversee a team, optimize workflows, and strengthen internal controls while supporting month-end close and reporting processes. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational efficiency and implement automation initiatives that scale with the business. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and senior finance leadership, providing insights and solutions that directly impact cash flow, vendor relationships, and overall financial operations. Accountabilities:

Manage and develop the Accounts Payable team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Oversee the end-to-end AP process, including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payment processing.

Ensure timely payment of vendors in accordance with terms and monitor aging reports to resolve discrepancies.

Maintain compliance with company policies and GAAP, supporting external audits and 1099 reporting.

Optimize AP workflows, leverage automation tools, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

Partner cross-functionally to streamline procurement-to-pay processes and support accurate month-end accruals and reporting.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

5–8+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, with proven ability to manage and develop a team.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience ensuring compliance in complex financial operations.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP or AP automation tools is preferred.

Nice-to-have: experience in digital healthcare, multi-state/multi-currency payables, system implementations, or AP automation initiatives.
