General Summary

The Application Analyst position is responsible for being an analyst for Murata America's supply chain systems and ERP systems and c oordinates IT projects with management, users, team, as well as vendors. Serves as a project member for software & business application development projects. Has oversight for all information systems-related activities for specific client departments (Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales Operations). Client support includes continual analysis of departmental systems with a focus on adding value to all processes. Adhering to IT and company policies on information security and confidentiality.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Analyses, designs, programs, documents, and implements new applications and systems, in accordance with company needs and policies.
• Coordinates application enhancements to existing systems including analysis and design specifications.
• Conducts appropriate cost-benefit analysis on enhancements or modifications.
• Supports process re-engineering by involving users in process-flow analysis and work redesign, with emphasis on effective utilization of systems, company/organization BPR initiatives, or other information technologies to improve organizational performance.
• Analyzes and documents problems, recommends solutions, initiates corrective actions, and follows up on problem resolution and issue status.
• Participates in project teams as team member or leader, as required.
• Interfaces with Murata corporate office and other Murata international offices to accomplish established goals and outcomes.
• Provides technical advice on risk analysis and change control issues.
• Support Sales Operations and other organizational business groups.
• Support internal departmental process improvements through cross-functional project teams.
• Support other internal departmental application business requirement analysis (development i.e., Workflow, RPA, BI, etc).

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

• Provides training and development support to users on applicable applications.
• Coordinates technical resources, as necessary.
• Tests updates before going live.
• Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Two+ years' programming experience.
• Knowledge of structured programming techniques, networking, and database methodologies.
• Data modeling and reporting experience.
• Proficiency with oral and written communications and effective, competent presenter.
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to diagnose and resolve complex problems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience.
• Program language certification(s).
• JavaScript and other web technology development experience.
• Power BI skills.
• RPA.
• Advanced MS Suite skills.
