Application Request Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

ThreatLocker’s Application Request Engineer role is a fantastic role to start your cybersecurity career. Our Application Request Engineer are responsible for, but not limited to:  

• Software Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive research evaluations of software applications to ensure compliance with organizational standards and security protocols.
• Log Analysis and Pattern Identification: Review historic logs and data to identify usage patterns and any deviations that may indicate irregular activities. Analyze how different software programs interact with each other and the system to make informed, educated decisions.
• Custom Security Rules Development: Identify, implement, and maintain customized security rules and policies tailored to the organization's requirements.
• Incident Response Support: Assist in reporting and responding to incidents related to sandbox machine malfunctions and other unexpected behavior.
• Process Enhancement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of security and compliance processes by identifying areas for optimization and proposing solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and developments in Information Security and Information Technology. Participate in training opportunities to enhance skills and maintain a strong understanding of evolving compliance requirements.
• Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL ROLE. If you're computer savvy, interested in cybersecurity and are willing to learn this role is for you!  

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills 
• Knowledge of different software tools, such as RMM and Remote Access software 
• Cybersecurity certificates (CompTIA, Security+ , Network +), preferred 
• Knowledge and experience in Windows Operating System and Windows Server Operating Systems 
• Basic troubleshooting principles 
• Customer Service Skills
