JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which provides important information for treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. The position of Application Support Specialist is a full-time onsite position within Abbott's Toxicology business unit located in Santa Rosa, CA.

Pay Range: $40-44/hour.

What You'll Do

• Develop expertise in in-house applications and perform issue identification, verification, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and escalation.
• Provide technical support and training to employees and customers using phone, email, and the ticketing system; provide in-person support to onsite employees as needed.
• Facilitate feedback loop between end-users, Product Management, Software Development, and Commercial teams, and other business functions.
• Record accurate and comprehensive information for requests, incidents, and resolutions.
• Develop training materials and knowledge base documents.
• Identify ways to improve the application user experience.
• Comply with Abbott IT, regulatory, and quality policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience providing application support to customers and internal end-users in a high-output, dynamic environment.
• Highschool or GED
• Experience of working in a team-oriented service desk environment, with the ability to positively contribute to cross-functional teams.
• Able to learn new processes quickly with a commitment to keep knowledge and skills up to date.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with end-users to understand requirements and provide effective support.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management skills.
• SQL experience preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) skills.
• Customer service experience in a medical environment.
• Experience developing, implementing, and delivering technical or clinical training programs
• Previous experience with EnSite, EP-Workmate, C7 / Illumine, or RADI systems

The salary for this role is between:

$29 - $58
