Simpluris seeks to hire an Application Systems Administrator to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where you aren't siloed, but are working side-by-side with other technologists and business stakeholders directly influencing and seeing the results of your work.
The Application System Administrator is responsible for ensuring all computer-related systems are secured, managed, optimized, and meeting the organization's needs. These responsibilities relate to but aren't limited to our third-party software solutions, computer equipment, devices, and cloud (AWS and Azure) / virtual infrastructure.
This position can be fully remote, but we do offer physical offices in Orlando, Florida, and Costa Mesa, California if you prefer to work in an office environment, but is NOT required.
Requirements
What you will be doing
- Administer and support third-party applications, AAD, AD, security solutions (endpoint, email, firewall, etc.), Office 365, AWS, and Network and related services.
- Installing, managing, and configuration of Windows Operating Systems, proprietary software, and third-party / office applications.
- Research & implement new product solutions, service protocols, and standards in support of systems software procurement and development efforts.
- Maintain security, compliance, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Provide solution support and configuration changes across all environments.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve network connectivity and performance issues between physical and cloud-connected sites.
- Web application (services, database, APIs, virtual servers) administration & configuration.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
- Design and implement automated monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions.
- Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability and stability.
- Implement warranty and support activities.
- Define hardware standards, maintain inventory, and asset configuration documentation and management.
- Assist with hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendations, and negotiations.
- White glove user support of desktop hardware and software.
- Provide support during business hours and be willing/available for potential issues after hours.
Experience we need from you
- BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related disciplines, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience as an IT Support, IT Admin (Network, System, Cloud, etc.), or similar roles.
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory (AAD), SSO, Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPO), Office 365, Windows Servers, and General Networking.
- Demonstrated experience working with cloud infrastructure (e.g. Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure).
- Comfortable with scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Python, JavaScript).
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of relevant IT systems and applications.
- Strong understanding and background in working with a complex Active Directory, LDAP, and the requirement of strictly following standards, procedures, and processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, tech-focused environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual with little or no supervision following deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Ability to learn new processes or procedures with minimal direction and guidance.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; able to adjust for the intended audience.
