Job Description
Applied Systems, Inc., a worldwide leader in insurance technology, is currently searching is currently looking for an Associate Data Scientist to join our Analytics and Data Science Products team. You will be part of an innovative team analyzing one of the industry's largest data resources to create data-driven products. We utilize data and data science to speed decision-making and growth for hundreds of thousands of insurance professionals and their clients.
What You Will Do

• Work with leaders from Data Science, Product, and Engineering to solve customer challenges with advanced data analysis and machine learning.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to extract meaningful insights.

• Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in data science and analytics.
• Assist in the design and deployment of data management and data governance practices.
• Support senior data scientists and data engineers on larger projects and initiatives.

What You'll Need to Succeed
We're looking for someone who:

• Can work from the Applied Systems office in Chicago regularly, with remote workdays for deep work.

Your experience should include some or all of the following:

• Have 2 years of experience in data science or analytics role.
• Practical experience in predictive modeling, data science, and analysis
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and related data science tools
• Experience with Google Cloud & and AI platform
• Knowledge of Git or other version control tools
• Familiarity with APIs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with an exploratory, curious mindset

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
