Job Description
The Enterprise Risk Organization (ERO) Chief of Staff Team serves a critical role leading governance and oversight to a number of senior management committee and Board activities while also supporting broader ERO efforts around strategy reporting and culture. We are seeking a highly motivated associate with excellent project management and communication skills. The ideal candidate has a high bar for quality and passion to identify and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Management Committee (SMC) meeting cycle by preparing templates reviewing materials auditing Google Groups for material availability and maintaining distribution lists and Points of Contact
- Manage Google Drive content permissions and distribution lists for the ERO Chief of Staff Team including for SEC reporting and the Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR)
- Draft and distribute internal communications (e.g. Quarterly Key Dates emails)
- Monitor incoming DocuSign for SEC reporting support and prepare follow-up communications
- Maintain the Integrated Risk Management Report (IRMR) Style Guide and assist with final document formatting on this Board-level document
- Support SMC Audit requests as needed
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of project and process best practices identifying and implementing efficiencies
You'll need to wear many hats including:
- Project manager: You're detail-oriented and adeptly manage several projects and initiatives at once with supportive direction. You have relentlessly high standards and attention to the smallest details with the ability to adapt to change quickly.
- Proactive Problem-solver: You understand intent and goals for a project propose plans to meet those needs and with support can autonomously pursue options to deliver results in a well-managed manner.
- Juggler: You don't get overwhelmed easily as you're able to aptly prioritize and toggle between multiple projects and processes successfully. You seek guidance to reprioritize as needed to adjust with changing business needs and take action with urgency as appropriate.
- Team player: You are highly motivated adaptable and willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done even in situations where the work is outside of the scope of your respective role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 1 year of Project Management experience
- At least 1 year of experience in Google Workspace applications (Docs Sheets Slides Drive)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a corporate or risk management environment
- Strong written communication and collaboration skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $81700 - $93300 for Project Manager
Richmond VA: $74200 - $84700 for Project Manager
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
