Abbott Cardiac Rhythm Management Downstream Marketing is looking for a strong Associate Product Manger that wants to make a difference in the newly formed USA Marketing team based Onsite in Austin Texas. In this role, you will own the commercialized new CRM products, drive share acquisition through strategic initiatives, and play an integral part in future product launch execution.

What You'll Work On
  • Build, develop and execute downstream CRM product specific marketing strategy and tactical plans to drive the U.S. market strategic objectives
    • Generate expert level brand, market, and competitive analyses
    • Develop annual marketing plans to grow product sales, profit, and share
    • Create and execute marketing campaigns that generate measurable wins
    • Collaborate with DVP, AVPs, and R.D.s to create a unified strategy and cohesive tactical execution plans
    • Work closely with the U.S. Commercial team & Finance to ensure alignment
    • Gain buy-in from commercial leadership and ensure execution of marketing plans
    • Forecast product demand and sales for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning
    • Maintain monthly product demand forecast to ensure effective inventory management
    • Conducts competitive product analysis and market research of professional audiences
    • Create competitive marketing strategies and tactics that defend and take share
    • Collaborate with the CRM Education team to develop, implement, and update product training for the sales force on an ongoing basis
    • Collaborate with the CRM Education team to generate strategic opportunities for KOL and AHP engagement
    • Collaborate with the CRM Marketing Communications team to ensure best-in-class collateral development for supporting sales execution
    • Manage and maintain product budget and expenses
  • Delivery results by developing deep market understanding, product performance analysis, and instituting appropriate corrective actions
    • Review performance to targets on a monthly and quarterly basis, adjust and revise marketing plans or institute corrective action as appropriate
    • Initiate and analyze account and IDN metrics to determine market trends and competitive status at the Regional and National levels
    • Advise management of performance issues and corrective actions
    • Partner with DVP, AVPs, and R.D.s to identify root causes of performance and drive focused marketing resources to support the field
  • Lead new CRM product launches
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and execution of product launch plans and critical milestones
    • Identify product positioning, value propositions, and key messaging in conjunction with the Marketing Communications team
    • Collaborate with Upstream Marketing counterparts to provide market insights and condition the market for product launches
    • Identify market entry strategies with the Reimbursement team
    • Recommend pricing strategies in collaboration with pricing and contracting subject matter experts
    • Train sales personnel on product positioning, marketing strategy, product positioning and competitive value propositions
    • Develop podium and publication plans with the Clinical team
    • Create market development plans with global marketing teams
    • Work with the education team in developing field and physician training plans and ensure optimal training execution
    • Create and align the go-to-market strategy with Commercial leadership, including key performance indicators, segmentation, and account/customer targeting
    • Forecast launch demand to ensure adequate product supply
    • Develop KOL strategy and create physician champions for the product
    • Provide necessary marketing support for customer meetings and conventions
    • Collaborate with Public Affairs in deciding and executing appropriate media communications
    • Track and report launch progress to senior leadership and key stakeholders regularly

Required Qualifications:

The candidate should have demonstrated leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication capabilities are required. A high level of emotional intelligence is paramount for success. Must know how to Win Friends & Influence People. Must be proactive and results-oriented. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications is also expected.

Bachelor's Degree plus a Minimum of 5 years in medical device product marketing or 5 years Cardiac Rhythm Management sales + MBA,

Preferred Qualifications

MBA strongly preferred.

Class III device product launch experience is strongly preferred

Estimated travel: Willing to travel 40%, including extended overnights (as the pandemic permits)
