Responsibility for driving AT&T sales with organizational focused on private/dedicated wavelength services sales with AT&T Business Services teams focused primarily on Hyperscalers/Wholesale. This role requires a solutions driven sales consultant focused on delivering Ciena products and services portfolio that drives AT&T wavelength services and supporting infrastructure. This position requires a strong sales experience with AT&T sales operation interworking along with setting an annual account strategy, relationship development and total solution selling skills who will lead the sales effort and initiatives with respect to account management, customer relationships and sales activities, forecasting and objective achievement.Â
Required Skills:
•Support targeted AT&T related ABS sales teams.
•Responsible for devising and executing Sales strategy to meet/exceed annual sales quota
•Responsible for providing required status/progress and forecast reports
•Establish a keen understanding of the customer’s business model & obtain strong knowledge of Ciena’s Optical transport, Ethernet and Data solutions
•Work with extended CIENA AT&T team, including executive team, product marketing, product management, and sales operations to achieve Sales and Revenue objectives.
•Ability to coordinate and interact with Ciena channel partners Sales and SE organizations.
•Ability to identify customers business objectives and leverage them to drive buying criteria
•Working knowledge of the competitive landscape and AT&T’s structure (Inter-Office Planning, Outside Plant, Implementation, ABS & Technical Sales, etc)
•Overall responsibility for the Sales and Fulfillment process associated with AT&T Sales activities
•Large scale and complex solution sales experience is a must.
•Strong Data Networking background with knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.
•Optical Networking Technology background required.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•Strong presentation skills required.
•Utilization of SalesForce for required forecasting and account activity reporting
•Management and leadership skills to drive Sales and account activities to achieve business objectives
•Ability to prioritize, organize and operate in a fast moving, aggressive environment.
•Excellent analytical, collaborative, communications and interpersonal skills.
•Self-motivated, with exceptional discipline to work independently in order to assure success
•Willingness to travel frequently.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual total target compensation pay range for this position is $224,800 - $371,300 USD. This includes both base and incentive compensation. (For Sales roles that are TTC in the Salary Range Tool)
The annual total target compensation pay range for this position in California is $247,200 - $408,500 USD. This includes both base and incentive compensation. (For Sales roles that are TTC in the Salary Range Tool)
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
